Our WMU meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in the Family Life Center Fellowship Hall .
Our theme is: "Find a Need -
Fill a Need" and we minister to our church family
and community and participate in state/national/international
missions projects in a variety of ways. To support and encourage
our youth to be missions minded, we sponsor Mission Friends
(coed - 2 age groups of children: 2-3 years old, 4-5 years old)
and Girls in Action (GAs) for girls in 1st through 6th grades.
Special projects include Soles4Souls shoe collection for
Sudanese refugees, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
(International), Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, World Hunger
Day contributions to local food banks, support for Alabama
Children's Homes campuses in Decatur and Birmingham, Operation
Christmas Child shoe box collections, Sav-A-Life funds, ARC of
Blount County items for its Special Olympics, community senior
citizens center celebrations, and a host of others. We encourage
ALL ladies to join us in serving our Lord, whatever the need
might be.
