Marie Barton - Church Clerk

Marie was born and
raised in the Kinchelo community of Blount County near
Snead. She came to Bethel from Chalkville Baptist Church
of Chalkville where she taught and served in several areas.
Prior to that she served as Ladies Sunday School Teacher, GA
Director and WMU Director at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in
Center Point and as the Day Women’s President in the
Birmingham Baptist Association. She attended college at
Jefferson State and transferred to Samford University in
Birmingham and to West Georgia College in Carrolton,
Georgia. She worked as a Legal Assistant in the Sirote,
Permutt Law Firm in Birmingham and as a Legal Administrator
at the Ragsdale, Beals, Hooper & Seigler Law Firm in
Atlanta. She and her husband, Glen, have been married
since 1961 and have two sons (Randy and David) and one grandson
(Jeremy). |
